Help your dog become calmer and more manageable around dogs, people, and other triggers.
Reactive dog training is for dogs that bark, lunge, pull, become overstimulated, struggle passing dogs or people, or have difficulty settling once triggered. The most important thing to remember with a reactive dog, “distance creates success” .
In dogs that are reactive, we teach skills such as: loose-leash walking, handler engagement, creating distance from triggers, disengagement, the up/down game, settling, sit-at-side, confidence building, controlled exposure, enrichment, and learning to work below threshold.
Our training produces calmer walks, better handler engagement, improved recovery after seeing triggers, better management in public, and greater owner confidence. We also focus heavily on the bond between you and your dog. We want to make training fun for both of you!

Many reactive dogs can make significant progress with consistent training, proper management, and gradual exposure to triggers. Every dog is different, so the goal is not to rush them into situations they are not ready for. We focus on building engagement, creating appropriate distance, and teaching your dog how to stay calmer around triggers. Over time, that can make walks much more manageable and successful.
Not necessarily. Reactivity is a strong response to a trigger and may include barking, lunging, pulling, whining, or becoming overly excited. Dogs may react because of fear, frustration, excitement, or uncertainty. Aggression can involve behaviors intended to create distance or cause harm. Because the behaviors can look similar, each dog should be evaluated individually so the training plan fits the reason behind the behavior.
The number of sessions depends on your dog, the severity of the reactivity, your goals, and how consistently training is practiced between sessions. Some dogs may begin showing improvement quickly, while others need more time and gradual exposure. We will adjust the training plan based on your dog’s progress rather than rushing through a set timeline.
Training will begin in a quieter environment like your home, where your dog can stay successful and focused. As your dog improves, we can gradually practice in neighborhoods, parks, public areas, and other real-world environments where triggers are present. The difficulty is increased slowly so your dog can continue learning without becoming overwhelmed.
